Kim leads the ETX Chemistry project, applying evidence-based design to develop technology-mediated learning environments and facilitates research that continuously improves the learning experience. Before joining ASU, Kim was a Learning Solution Architect at Amazon, supporting the company’s learning engineers to design workforce training, gain insights from data, and improve outcomes. While at Amazon, Kim co-taught the Ed Design course for CMU’s Master’s in Education Technology and Applied Learning Science (METALS) program. For over a decade, Kim has led projects with various partners supporting non-traditional STEM learner success. She partnered with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning on the Statway™ statistics pathway. She managed the creation of the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS)℠ course with the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community Career Training (TAACCCT) grantees. At the Open Learning Initiative (OLI), Kim managed the development and iterative improvement of multiple courses.
